The Elected Board (as described to the right) must be, according to our National Charter, a RN, and a National and Local member (membership applications are available on the MEMBERSHIP page).

Consider, too, serving on our standing committees in a non-elected manner. Do this to 'get your feet wet' and consider running for elected office in 2011. These positions require only local membership, although national membership is encouraged. Each committee's chairperson, has a non-voting role on the board.

Roles for the elected officers serving on the board are:
President: Has overall responsibility for the Chapter and to National HPNA. This position is filled by the previous year's President Elect and on completion of the term has served 2 years.
President Elect: Supports the President in execution of Chapter and National HPNA responsibilites and becomes President at the end of the year. Essentially, this position is a 2-year commitment.
Secretary: Serves a 1-year term and is responsible for communication and documentation of Chapter issues and events as well as other responsibilities delgated by the President. The secretary is responsible for updating the website with the President.
Treasurer: Serves a 1-year term and oversees all financial transactions for the Chapter and responsibilities to the National HPNA. Must complete and submit a quarterly financial report to both the local and the National HPNA.
