WELCOME!!!

I would like to welcome you to HPNA, Triad NC Chapter.  As the President for 2011, I look forward to a productive and fun year as we work together to build a strong, collaborative relationship with hospice and palliative care professionals in the Triad.  Just as in our individual organizations, we will strive, not only to educate others in the philosophy of hospice and palliative care, but to seek out the knowledge of the experts as a means of improving our professional practice. 

Please join us on the 4^th Tuesday of every other month for networking, an educational topic and for membership to be included in decision making and dissemination of information.  Scheduled meetings are to be held on 4/26, 6/28, 8/23, and 10/25.  I look forward to your participation in a growing and productive organization.

We are one of 4 HPNA North Carolina local chapters and one of 42 local chapters throughout the United States.  We welcome and celebrate all who serve patients and families irrespective of role. 

We have members who represent 9 different employers from palliative inpatient, long-term care, hospice homecare, and palliative teams.  We welcome nurses, nursing assistants, social workers, chaplains and bereavement counselors. 

We recognize and celebrate the importance of networking and educational growth oportunities. 

There are many opportunities to meet, share and celebrate what it is you do and how it is you do it so well.
